Terms
Startup OS is operated by Maps & Apps Inc. These terms apply to this website, the inquiry form, the dashboard, and paid Startup OS software. By using any of them you accept these terms.
What Startup OS does
You sign in with GitHub and connect GitHub organizations you administer. Startup OS proposes changes to your repositories as pull requests. Nothing it proposes takes effect until you merge it.
Access
You sign in with GitHub. A workspace owner purchases a product allowance for that workspace. You must administer the GitHub organizations you connect.
Price and payment
Founder costs US$499 once for up to 3 connected products in one workspace. Portfolio costs US$999 once for up to 10. The initial Founder to Portfolio upgrade is US$500 once. Prices are in US dollars. Applicable taxes are shown at checkout. These terms apply when the one-time catalog is enabled for purchase.
Payment is taken by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach Startup OS.
Included duration
A software purchase has no scheduled expiry or renewal. It includes the core hosted dashboard, self-service onboarding, core updates, and standard support for as long as Startup OS operates the service. You pay your own model, GitHub, and other third-party costs. Current topology supports one product per GitHub organization. Several repositories for the same product count as one product.
Refunds and services
You may request a full software refund within 14 calendar days of purchase by contactinghello@mapsnapps.org. Implementation and integration work have separate cancellation, payment, and acceptance terms in the written scope.
Startup OS Implementation costs US$2,500 for one product, purchased separately from software. Custom integrations and larger engagements are quoted separately.
Payment and access
Access is activated after Stripe confirms payment. A pending or failed payment does not create an allowance. A full software refund revokes the corresponding purchase; refunding an upgrade restores the preceding valid allowance. Refunding a Founder purchase also ends any Portfolio upgrade bought with its credit. If a refund leaves more products connected than the remaining allowance, the most recently connected products are disconnected.
Disconnecting a product frees its slot, while its repository content remains yours. Reconnecting requires available capacity. Pausing agents does not free a slot.
Leaving
Uninstalling the Startup OS GitHub App disconnects that organization from the hosted service. Your repositories and their content remain yours. Reconnection requires an available product slot.
You can delete your account yourself from your account page. That immediately removes the workspaces it owns. The privacy page lists what is deleted, and the leaving guide covers each step.
Costs outside Startup OS
You supply your own AI model credential and pay your model provider directly. GitHub Actions runs on your own GitHub account and plan. Startup OS does not resell model usage, and the software purchase does not include either cost.
What Startup OS produces
The assessments, plans, and changes Startup OS proposes are produced by AI models, and they can be wrong or incomplete. Nothing takes effect until you merge it. You are responsible for reviewing what you merge and for what you publish.
Using the service fairly
Submit your own email address, not someone else's, and connect only organizations you are entitled to. Search engines and AI agents are welcome to read the public pages and documentation, including the Markdown versions served to agents, within the rules in robots.txt. Do not use automated tools to submit the form or to disrupt the site or the dashboard. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated requests and may block access that looks abusive.
Your content and ours
Your repositories stay yours, and so does everything Startup OS writes into them.
The text, design, diagrams, and the Startup OS name and marks on this site belong to Maps & Apps Inc. You are welcome to link to the site and to quote it with attribution. Please do not reproduce the branding or present the material as your own.
Availability
The site, the dashboard, and the service are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise they will be available without interruption or free of errors. Purchased core capabilities remain included while Startup OS operates the service.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Maps & Apps Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of Startup OS, including lost profits or data. To the same extent, our total liability for any claim is limited to the software and service fees you paid us for Startup OS for the affected purchase or engagement. A purchase includes any upgrade credited against it, so a Founder purchase and its Portfolio upgrade count as one purchase for this limit.
Third parties
The site runs on Cloudflare, signs you in and reaches your repositories through GitHub, takes payment through Stripe, sends email through Resend, and uses Cloudflare Turnstile on the invite request form. What each of them handles is described on our privacy page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product develops. The date below shows when they last changed, and continuing to use Startup OS after a change means you accept the update.
